Initial Exploratory Designs

Design for grandma's house in a reimagining of "Little Red Riding Hood" but set in the Cauca River valley of Colombia. After the initial exploratory sketches, I went with a design that helped integrate the house more into the hilly environments typical of the region. Guadua, a type of bamboo, is used often as a building material in the region and so I made sure to integrate that into the house as well as the brightly painted accents seen often on typical houses in the Cauca valley.
